Day 2: Sangla & Chitkul Local Sightseeing

The day is reserved to explore the local places of Sangla. Start your sightseeing with Kamru Fort, which will give you an idea of ancient architecture & legacy. Kamru Fort is now a temple dedicated to Goddess Kamakhya Devi. Next on your trip is Bering Nag Temple, a must-visit place architectural wonder. Continue your sightseeing by visiting Chitkul which is around 20 km from Sangla. Here you can enjoy your lunch at “Hindustan ka Akhiri Dhaba”. Also spend a few hours on the bank of river Baspa where you can get a bit adventurous as well. Night stay is scheduled at Sangla.

Day 3: Sangla to Tabo (200 km | 5-6 hrs.)

On the day 3 of your trip, start your journey to Tabo, a beautiful town on the bank of rive Spiti. While you are on the way to Tabo visit the famous Nako Lake which will fill you with tranquility & gratitude for sure. Also witness the 500-year-old mummy of Sangha Tenzin at Gue. It is believed that the monk started his mummification process while he was alive. Before reaching Tabo, visit the last village of Indo-Tibetan border as well. Upon arrival, check and rest after having dinner.

Day 4: Tabo to Kaza (50 km | 2-3 hrs.)

The most famous attraction of Tabo is a 10^th century monastery full of meditative vibes and serenity. This monastery is full of beautiful wall paintings & ancient scrolls & murals. One can easily spend 2-3 hrs simply siting at this silent place. Next on your Spiti Valley tour is Kaza, headquarter of Lahaul & Spiti district. Before reaching Kaza, halt at Dankar Village, which is one of the most spectacular attractions of Spiti valley. Stopover to visit the famous Dhankar Fort, which has been recently added to the list of 100 most endangered sites in the world. Also capture the panoramic view of Dhankar from revered Dhankar Gompa, a 16^th century old monastery guarding the village. Afterwards, continue your journey to Kaza. Upon arrival check in to hotel and rest.

Day 5: Kaza Local Sightseeing

Your 5^th day of 8 Days Spiti Valley tour will be dedicated to explore Kaza and its surroundings. Today you’ll visit Langza village, famous for a giant Buddha statue overlooking the valley. You’ll also visit Hikkim (depends upon weather) housing the highest post office in the world. A trip to Spiti Valley is incomplete without the excursion of picturesque Key (Ki or kye) monastery. The beauty of this architectural marvel can’t be described in words. You have to witness it with your own eyes. Don’t forget to visit Kibber, which is one of the highest motorable village in the world & Chicham Bridge, Asia’s highest motorable bridge. Night stay is scheduled at Kaza.

Day 6: Kaza to Chandrataal (100 km | 3-4 hrs.)

Chandrataal Lake or “Moon Lake” will be your next destination. One of the highest attraction of this lake is the fact that Chandrataal keeps on changing its color multiple times a day. Retire your day while camping on the banks of the lake under bright night sky. On a clear night, one can spot Milky Way as well.

Day 7: Chandrataal to Kalpa (220 km | 7-8 hrs.)

It’s time to check out from camps and head back to Kalpa. On the way, halt at Kaza, Tabo & Nako. Have your lunch at Kalpa. Afterwards, you can have an optional trekking to Chakka & halt at suicide point. Seek the blessing of Narayan-Nagini Temple, built in Tibetan Pagoda style. Also, you can visit Hu-Bu-Lan-Kar Monastery as well. In the evening, enjoy the panoramic views of Kinner Kailash mountain range from the window of your hotel. Rest after having dinner.

Day 8: Kalpa to Shimla (210 km | 6-7 hrs)

On the last day of your trip, you’ll be driven back to Shimla which will take no more than 8 hrs to reach. Take back all the memories along with you from 8 days trip of Spiti Valley.

Day 1: Delhi/Chandigarh to Shimla

Meet our representative at desired spot at Delhi/Chandigarh and drive to Shimla. Upon arrival, check in the hotel and rest. Evening, visit the local spots like Lakkar Bazar, The Ridge, the Mall, Scandal Point, Gaiety Theatre, Town Hall, Lower Bazar, etc.

Day 2: Shimla Local Sightseeing

On the 2nd day of your Shimla Manali tour, have breakfast & explore the famous hill spot Kufri today. On the way halt at various places namely Green Valley which offers panoramic view of pine forest. Next go on a quick visit of Indira Gandhi Holiday Home, Wild Flower Hall, etc. At Kufri, grab an entry ticket to nurture wildlife of Himalayan Nature Park (Tuesday closed). Afterwards ride the horse till Mahasu Peak where you can enter to Fun World, a space full of adventure offerings. Visit Gallue for some more fun & adventure. After enjoying whole day, come back to hotel for night stay.

Day 3: Shimla to Manali via Kullu

Have breakfast and checkout from hotel. Then you’ll be driven to Manali. On the way halt at Sunder Nagar Lake, Pandoh Dam for catching some beautiful pictures & Kullu where you can visit famous Shawl factories. Also, you can glide the blue sky there and raft Beas River as long as 25 km. Afterwards, continue your journey to Manali. Check in the hotel for night stay.

Day 4: Manali Local Sightseeing

The day is fully reserved to visit some of the most glorifying spots of Manali. Start your tour by taking the blessings of Hadimba Devi residing in Dungri Devi Temple built in Pagoda style architecture. Next on the list is Vashisht Hot Water Springs and if time permits trek to Jogini Waterfalls as well. Also visit the famous Old Manali & Manu Temple.
